GENUINE PRODUCT of the Menghai Tea Factory. Characterized by a small ticket with a manufactured date inside each teacake. This particular vintage year have all the characteristics of the series and yet feels lighter, with a subtle taste of dates and ginseng. The teacake has loosened up substantially after 2 1/2 decades of ageing in our professional warehouse in Hong Kong.

Tea Appearance: liquor deep chestnut brown. Infused tea leaves are very dark brown, almost black, 6 to 8th grades rigid tea leaves with branches.

Scent: Aged wood fragrance.

Taste: Traditional smooth ginseng flavour, stimulating, aged wood and dates taste. Multiple steepings and quick release of taste.

General Guide to brewing Pu-erh Tea

Steep Pu-erh tea in hot boiling water. The ratio of tea leaves to water is approximately 1:4 to 1:5. or 8 grams of tea to 125 ml. of water.

First steep for 5 to 10 sec and discard the water to clean and heat the tea leaves. Steep for 20 seconds, and lengthen the time for each subsequent infusion. 

The number of infusion can range from 10 to 20 times.
