1997 Jiang Cheng Raw Pu-erh Tea Brick
Geographically Jiangcheng is located on a river basin where the soil is ideal for tea plantations. The 1997 Jiangcheng Pu-erh tea brick has a very distinct style of taste and aroma, with rich camellia oil content in the tea yields a very fruity and camphor taste. Produced exclusively for Yee On Tea Co. and together with over 2 decades of post-fermentation. This raw tea brick is a true delight for serious tea tasters and collectors.
Tea Appearance: liquor deep chestnut red, infused tea leaves are brown with a good balance of thick, broken leaves and branches. 7~9th grade leaves with very little tea dust.
Scent: Herbal
Taste: The taste is light but pure camphor wood taste typical of the Jiang Cheng area. Gentle Cha Qi, soft and comfortable. Hui Gan, sweet and stimulating. A light orchid taste toward the end.
General Guide to brewing Pu-erh Tea
Steep Pu-erh tea in hot boiling water. The ratio of tea leaves to water is approximately 1:4 to 1:5. or 8 grams of tea to 125 ml. of water.
First steep for 5 to 10 sec and discard the water to clean and heat the tea leaves. Steep for 20 seconds, and lengthen the time for each subsequent infusion.
The number of infusion can range from 10 to 20 times.
